APSCO Secretariat attaches great importance to its cooperative relationship with all space-faring nations and international entities. This can be reflected in its communications with more than 30 countries throughout the world and its partnership with several international organizations such as UN-COPUOS, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UN-OOSA), UN-ESCAP, Group on Earth Observations (GEO), European Space Agency (ESA), Space Foundation, International Astronautical Federation (IAF). The communications paved the way for future programs of APSCO and further enhanced international cooperation.
Recognized by the United Nations, APSCO is a Permanent Observer of UN-COPUOS and participates in all of its meetings, including Science and Technology Subcommittee, Legal Subcommittee and the Plenary Session every year. APSCO Secretariat has been actively participating in and supporting Asia-Pacific Regional Initiatives under UN, and supported the Space Law Workshops in Iran and Thailand and Telemedicine in Iran organized by UN-OOSA.
APSCO is an Observer of GEO and participates in all its major events in the effort of completing the architectural design of GEOSS.
APSCO Secretariat realizes that the IAF and its subsequent Congress is generally perceived as the most prominent event in the international space community. In this connection, the exhibition for promotion of APSCO was organized for the first time in Cape Town, South Africa in 2011. It effectively helped APSCO in establishing a solid foundation among the international space community.
