In accordance with the decision by 6th Council Meeting of APSCO to organize APSCO Training course on Demonstration of Remote Sensing Data Usage for Earthquake Monitoring and Evaluation the Secretariat is preparing to organize it jointly with United Nations Platform for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response (UN-SPIDER) and National Disaster Reduction Centre of China (NDRCC) from 3-13 December, 2012 in Beijing, China. The broad aim of the training is to offer more practical hands-on training for the usage of remote sensing data for earthquake monitoring and evaluation for the participants from APSCO Member States (Please refer to the attached link file for details of the announcement).
In this connection, the APSCO Secretariat would like to invite the Member States/Signatory States to this training course. The Secretariat will financially support the nominated participant (s) for their round trip economy class international air ticket cost, local accommodation, meals during the training course, and pick up and drop off service between airport and hotel.
It would be highly appreciated if you nominate the participants to fill out the Registration Form (attached with details of the announcement) and send it back with all necessary supporting documents to the APSCO Secretariat to Contact person: Mr. Md.
