In accordance with the approval of 3rd Council Meeting of APSCO to develop APSCO Data Sharing Service Platform (DSSP), the project has been implemented by the Secretariat of APSCO successfully. The primary purpose of the system is to manage and store Satellite Remote Sensing (RS) data and to share it among the Member States. The system is designed for data retrieval/downloading, and moreover, to collect catalogue information of RS data, and to create an integrated Satellite RS data catalogue retrieval system among the Member States.
With this regard, APSCO Secretariat is proud to announce that the system is fully operational, and the users from Member States can query for images and put request for the Secretariat for downloading. Also, the Member States can put request for image capture by RS Satellites of China under framework of the Agreement with CNSA of China. Data policy will be announced separately after an official deal is made with the providers. However, the basic principle is that Member States can download images for their own respective country and usage should be peaceful purposes only.
