The Training Course on Supported GNSS and Its Applications was held from 4 to 21 June 2010 in Beijing, China. The Training Course was organized by Peking University, co-organized and sponsored by APSCO Secretariat, and co-sponsored by MIIT of China. There were 18 participants from the seven Member States, namely Bangladesh, China, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru and Thailand, and one from the interested country, Ukraine.
This Training Course focused on the diverse areas of GNSS and its applications. The topic included principles, technologies and operational applications of GNSS such as intelligent transportation system (ITS), disaster management and emergency response system, location based service (LBS). The training course was conducted by 15 experts/lecturers and among them 13 from China and one each from Iran and Thailand.
Participants of APSCO Training Course on GNSS and Its Applications visited APSCO Headquarters on 18 June, 2010. During this visit, a brief introduction to APSCO Activities was presented and after that the participants were invited for an orientation tour to APSCO ¡°Exhibition Hall¡± and other facilities.
At the closing day of the training course, lecturers/experts and participants shared their experiences, and after the group presentations, the question and answering session was conducted, which was very fruitful, and the participants took part in it with their keen interests.
