The Technical Demonstration Review (TDR) Meeting of Research on Atmospheric Effects on Ka-Band Rain Attenuation Modeling Project was successfully held from 21-25 November, 2016 at Bangkok Thailand. APSCO PMB Members as well as the supporting experts from CRIRP were fully involved. During this key project Milestone review, the preliminary performance verifications of existing ITU Rain Attenuation Models was accepted through accumulated local statistics data and ITU data base, and the preliminary results of new proposed regional Rain Attenuation Model and DSS Algorithm were also approved. With more data collection, the regional Rain Attenuation Model and DSS algorithms will be improved and optimized afterwards.
Besides, APSCO delegation as well as CRIRP experts were invited to visit the Space Krenavation Park (SKP) of GISTDA. During the on-site visit, the related APSCO Projects were presented and preliminary interests were drawn from GISTDA on the future cooperation with APSCO in related fields.
