The Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) training course on remote sensing application and data sharing service platform was successfully held during 19-23 June, 2017 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The training was jointly organized by the Secretariat of APSCO and National Remote Sensing Center of Mongolia.
Mr. Odbayar Mishigdorj from National Remote Sensing Center chaired the opening ceremony and Mr. Batbayar Vandansambuu from CITA welcomed the lectures and participants.
Nearly 40 participants from over 10 different departments of government, institutes universities and companies attended. Participants are mainly focusing on drought and forests and water resource monitoring. They all showed great interest in the DSSP phase II and paid tribute to the work done on it.
So far, the training course has covered Pakistan, Turkey, Thailand and Mongolia. Over 170 participants from nearly 40 different departments, universities and companies have attended these trainings; positive feedbacks and suggestions were made by participants and our lecturers continue to update and these courses.
Next, lecturer team of APSCO will continue their visit to the rest of Member States.
