The Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) training course on remote sensing application and data sharing service platform was successfully held during 24-28 July, 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The training was jointly organized by the Secretariat of APSCO and Bangladesh Space Research Remote Sensing Organization (SPARRSO), under the Ministry of Defense (MoD).
Mr. Md. Dilwar Bakht, Chairman of SPARRSO chaired the opening ceremony and Khadela Pervin, Additional Secretary of MoD attended as chief guest, Mr. Md. Zafar Ullah Khan, Joint Secretary of MoD and Dr. Hafizur Rahman were also participated. Dr. Li Xinjun, Secretary-General of APSCO, visited the training and shared his opinions on DSSP. Certificates were awarded to all participants at the end of the training by Dr. Li Xinjun.
There were 21 participants from different department of SPARRSO and related organizations including Survey of Bangladesh, Water Resource and Planning, Institute of Water Modelling, Meteorological and Agriculture Departments joined the training. All showed great interest to DSSP and the training. Participants expressed their expectation of DSSP Cloud Platform could be able to provide more data sources and advanced service in the future.
Next, lecturer team of APSCO will continue the training to Peru.
