The Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) training course on remote sensing application and data sharing service platform was successfully held during 27-30 August, 2017 in Tehran, Iran. The training was jointly organized by the Secretariat of APSCO and Iranian Space Agency (ISA).
Dr. Abolghasem Naghash, Director General of International Cooperation Department of ISA chaired the opening ceremony and welcomed the lecturer team. He stressed the importance of the application of remote sensing in social and economic development and gave his good wishes for the training on behalf of the ISA.
30 participants from different department of ISA attended the training. All Participants showed great interest in the DSSP Cloud Platform, communication and interaction between lecturers and trainees was enthusiastic as a bond was made during the courses.
Dr. Ali Sadeghi Naeini, Director General of Remote Sensing Department of ISA, chaired the closing ceremony of the training, certificates were issued to all participants and ISA presented gifts to all lecturers.
This also marked the end of serial APSCO Training Course on Remote Sensing Application and Data Sharing Service Platform. It has covered all Member States in five months, with 320 participants from over 60 different departments of government, universities and companies joined. Next, with feedbacks from users and trainees, APSCO secretariat will further improve DSSP for better service to all Member States in future.
