On November 22, 2017, the Secretary-General of APSCO, Dr. Li Xinjun paid a visit to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beijing, China. The Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Ali Asghar Khaji welcomed the APSCO dignitary. Dr. Li Xinjun expressed his deep condolences over the severe earthquake that occurred earlier.
Before this visit, APSCO had provided Iran timely with high resolution satellite images of quake zone area up to 100 Gigabits, including SAR data from Chinese Satellite for the very first time.
Dr. Li also updated the Ambassador on the latest progress on APSCO cooperative projects. Ambassador Mr. Khaji appreciated the work of the Secretariat and extended his full support for APSCO activities. In recognition of the successful cooperative activities, he showed his confidence in the future growth and development of the organization. Both dignitaries discussed on topics of mutual benefit and common concern.
