Shanghai, China 23-24 November 2017
The APSCO delegation, comprising Mr. Nasir Mahmood, Director-General of External Relations & Legal Affairs Department participated in the 7th IAA-CSA Conference on Advanced Technology, at Shanghai, China during 23-24 November 2017. The Conference was jointly hosted by International Academy of astronautics (IAA) and Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA). The Conference was organized by the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology and Co-organized by Shanghai Society of Astronautics. The Theme of the Conference was: ¡°Space Technology Innovation and Commercial Space¡±.
The topics were selected under four domains: Space System and Applications; Space Carrier and Launch; Manned Spaceflight and Deep Space Exploration and Space Applications and International Cooperation. There were eleven Keynote speakers, five technical sessions and also a technical visit.
Mr. Nasir, representing APSCO, gave a keynote speech and a comprehensive presentation at the Conference entitled ¡°APSCO Cooperation is Facilitating Development in its Member States¡±. He presented APSCO¡¯s achievements and outcomes of resource sharing and cooperation, which are indeed very important to improving and promoting the space technology in developing countries. He briefed on the activities carried out by APSCO and the benefits brought to the Member States of APSCO and got very positive feedbacks from the participants. He expressed that APSCO spearheading the multi-lateral cooperation in the space sector, would continue to strive to extend more benefits and share achievements in the region.
