APSCO Secretary-General visited European Space Agency Headquarters in Paris

APSCO Secretary-General, Dr. Li Xinjun visited European Space Agency (ESA) Headquarters in Paris on April 5th 2018. The Director-General of ESA, Dr. Johann-Dietrich Worner warmly welcomed APSCO delegation. The APSCO Delegation was also joined by the representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and China National Space Administration (CNSA). Dr. Worner introduced internal mechanism and the international cooperation of ESA on the regional and international scale. Dr. Li Xinjun indicated that, APSCO is a young organization on its growing stage focused on resources sharing taking advantage in geography. More recourse is expected to benefit its Member States, through the cooperation with the top space agencies such as ESA. It was suggested to consider formalizing the cooperation through signing ¡°Letter of Intent¡± on mutual Cooperation. Both sides held discussion on exploring the possible field of cooperation, and agreed to hold joint activities on specific topics. Taking this opportunity, Dr. Li Xinjun extended his warmest invitation to Dr. Worner or his nominee for the up-coming ¡°APSCO 10th Anniversary High-level Forum & 9th International Symposium¡± as a keynote speaker at the opening session.
