During June 7-8 and June 11, 2018, APSCO successfully conducted the Ground Station Survey at Member State Bangladesh and Mongolia, respectively, as a follow up to one of the important tasks in APSCO Joint SMMS Constellation Program phase B.
Official from SPARRSO, experts team from Project Lead, China, and APSCO delegates attended the survey in Bangladesh. Official from Information and Research Institute for Meteorology, Hydrology and Environment (IRIMHE), National Agency of Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring (NAMEM), expert team from Project Lead, China, and APSCO delegates attended the survey in Mongolia. During the site survey, delegates visited the receiving station in SPARRSO Headquarter and SAVAR Station in Bangladesh, and the receiving station in IRIMHE. The site environment, existing facilities and infrastructure was thoroughly investigated. The brief upgrade proposal and options for receiving SMMS constellation data were discussed.
