The Final Acceptance Review (FAR) Meeting on the APOSOS Project Phase I was organized in Beijing, back-to-back with a training course on space object tracking data processing, during 25-27 June, 2018. Delegates from Bangladesh, China, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand and Turkey participated the event.
In the FAR meeting, including the Document Acceptance and the On-site Acceptance, the Project Management Board (PMB) reviewed all Deliverables submitted by the Project Lead, National Astronomical Observatories, China Academy of Science (NAOC). The meeting unanimously agreed that the implementation of APOSOS Project Phase I was completed as planned. The project is now smoothly transferred into the operational phase. The first phase of the project has paved the way for APSCO Member States to lay strong foundation on necessary technologies for space-object tracking, both hardware and software, as well as the network operation. The Secretariat is now working on the second phase of the project to enhance the capability of the observation nodes, as well as of the overall APOSOS network.
