After its successful launch, commissioning and initial data processing phase, the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite (CSES) Mission is now ready for sharing its fruitful outcomes. The CSES data dissemination, analysis and applications were shared and presented by experts and researchers from many countries at the 3rd International Workshop of China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite Mission, organized by China Earthquake Administration (CEA) and China National Space Administration (CNSA) during 15-19 November, 2018 in Beijing, China.
APSCO delegation, led by Dr. Manop Aorpimai, Director General of Strategic Planning and Program Management Department participated in this event. Dr. Manop, as an invited Honored Guest Speaker by CEA, addressed a speech on behalf of APSCO Secretariat during the opening ceremony. With shared data from the CSES mission, the existing APSCO Ground-Based Ionospheric Monitoring and Information Sharing (GIMI) Platform can be extended with the fusion of space-borne data to benefit its member States under the recently approved project: APSCO Earthquake Research Project Phase II: Integrating Satellite and Ground Observations for Earthquake Signatures and Precursors.
